The following facilities are open to all students.
Makerspace at Johns Hopkins
Location: Pava Center, 320 W 29th St., Suite 220
The Makerspace is available to all JHU students, faculty, and staff and provides instruction in and use of equipment, including tools for 3D printing, laser cutting, metalsmithing, and woodworking, and space for students to pursue independent projects, collaborate, and build prototypes of innovations. (This facility is operated by WSE Manufacturing.)
Priority is given to students’ personal projects that are not related to coursework and there is no charge for using the facility.

WSE Manufacturing
Location: Wyman Park Building
WSE Manufacturing provides manufacturing support to Johns Hopkins students, faculty, and affiliates.
Facilities available to students:
- Self-service Machine Shop
- Advanced Manufacturing Lab (3d Printing, laser cutting)
- Welding
Note: These facilities are available only to students who have completed required training. Register for training here.
Digital Media Center
Location: Hopkins Square, 3003 N. Charles St.
Open to all JHU students, the DMC is a multimedia lab space and an equipment, printing and knowledge resource for students interested in exploring creative uses of emerging media and technology to communicate their ideas.
Among the facilities available in the DMC are Mac and PC workstations with commercial and professional-grade software for audio, video, photography, graphics, animation, 3D modeling and design, web-based and multimedia projects.

Biomedical Engineering:
BME Design Studio (available to BME, Multidisciplinary Design and FYS: Design Cornerstone students)
Location: Clark Hall
The BME Design Studio supports curricular project-based work for all BME undergraduate students and students in the courses listed above.
